Create Inspirational Cards with Susie Bentz

Hello!  Susie here today with a couple of easy to create inspirational cards. Sometimes you want to send a card for no reason.  A card with an uplifting message - a message of support, encouragement, or hope.

I was playing with the Make A Wish Framelits Die and Stamp set from Sizzix and very quickly came up with a couple of cards for my stash.

I pulled out the Rinea Frosted Variety Pack and created die cut stars with Turquoise Starstruck and Silver Glossy Foiled Paper. I also die cut the sentiment from Turquoise Starstruck Foiled Paper and then "dotted the i" with a tiny star cut from Turquoise Glossy Foiled Paper.

When mounted on one of my usual watercolor/mixed media backgrounds, the Foiled Paper Elements are just gorgeous!

For the second card I die cut thin strips of Turquoise Starstruck Foiled Paper.

I used them to create "rays of light" shining down from a star cut from Silver Starstruck Foiled Paper. Do you see the tiny star in the center?  I cut it from Silver Glossy Foiled Paper and it really stands out.  I used a Micron black ink pen to add lines around the edge of the star and the card.

The "rays of light" stretch across the card and are topped off with the word "shine", die cut from Silver Glossy Foiled Paper.

I also added a stamped sentiment...

...before I considered it finished!
