Halloween Card and Out of this World Card Using A Cricut
Hello, everyone! Martha Lucia here to share with you what I made by combining Rinea Paper Foil and Joy Clair Stamps. But first, let me tell you that right now this is one of my favorite combinations because I can use the paper foil to stamp and not only to decorate or create layers. Take a look at my first card:
I made this card using Vellum cardstock for the base and Rinea paper foil for the layers. The web background is an SVG file that I easily cut with my Cricut Explore. At the beginning I was afraid to waste my paper foil experimenting with the Cricut, but after I saw a video that one of my teammates posted on the Rinea Facebook page, I was confident that I could make my web. I just have to set my machine between the paper and vinyl option and use an older mat or a light grid mat. Then I must secure my paper foil, the Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, and then send it to cut.
If you use a non-sticky mat, it will be very easy to remove the cut piece. For me, it was very simple, as you can see in the photo below.
Following the same process, I cut a grass border using Emerald/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and then I pasted the web over the vellum card base and the grass over the web using Beacon's Premium Tacky Glue.
To decorate my card I used the Joy Clair stamp set October Fun. I stamped all these cute characters using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Prismacolor Premier pencils. I fussy cut with my scissors and pasted with dimensionals over the decorated card.
My second project is a galactic card! On this, I used the Sapphire/Sapphire Star Struck and the Silver/Silver Star Struck Foiled Paper to create the layers of the card. Take a look at my card:
The base of my card is Basic Black card stock and I just pasted the second layer with Sapphire Star Struck paper foil. Then I stamped some images from the Joy Clair stamp set Out of this World with the Ghost Rinea Ink. This ink "removes" the color of the paper foil creating a special effect on all your creations. I also made a semi moon with a stitched circle die cut and Silver/Silver Star Struck paper foil.
In a separate piece of whisper white cardstock, I stamped two astronauts included on the stamp set Out of this World and colored them with Prismacolor Premier pencils. I fussy cut and pasted over the paper foil layers. In a piece of basic black cardstock, I stamped a sentiment using Versamark and Silver Embossing Powder. I pasted all these stamped images with dimensionals to give my project more dimension.
I hope these ideas inspire you to use the Joy Clair Stamps and the Rinea Paper Foil in combination or alone in your different projects. You will love all that you can create with them and the unlimited ways that you can combine them.
See you soon!
