How To Create A Gatefold Card With A Belly Band by Monika Graefling-Gladysiak | Rinea
Hello everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day. It's Monika today creating a Gatefold Flower Card with a Belly Band using Rinea Foiled Paper and Joy Claire stamps.
We are going to use Rinea Foiled Paper: Blush Starstruck, Fuchsia Starstruck, Lavender Starstruck, Violet StarstruckGold Starstruck, StazOn black ink, Joy Claire Ink Splatter stamps, Joy Claire Paisley Bouquet stamps, Distress Oxides, blending tools, Kuretake Gem Colour watercolours, a paintbrush and scissors.
Step 1:
Create a base card 30cm x 15 cm and score from both sides 7.5 cm to create a gatefold card.
Cut the square from Violet Starstruck measuring 14.3 cm x 14.3 cm, cut the square from Lavender Starstruck measuring 13.6 cm x 13.6 cm. Create a belly band using both Violet and Lavender foiled papers, add a small piece of Violet to make the band longer.
Step 2:
Cut a square from white card measuring 12.8 cm x 12.8 cm. Use ink blending technique and apply Distress oxides to the panel. Using StazOn black ink stamp the biggest image from Paisley Bouquet (Joy Claire stamps) on the top and bottom of the panel. Add ink splatters using the stamps and Distress Oxides. Stamp the flowers (biggest image) using StazOn ink on Blush Starstruck, Lavender StarstruckGold Starstruck, fussy cut them and create 2 flowers. Stamp bigger flower from the stamp set on Blush Starstruck, Lavender StarstruckGold Starstruck and fussy cut all the elements, this one will go on top of the belly band.
Step 3:
Use Kuretake Gem Colours watercolours or any other metallic paints to add details to the images on top and the bottom of the panel. Stamp the sentiment in the middle of your card. Adhere the fussy cut flowers in the middle of your stamp images. Adhere all square panels together.
Step 4:
Use a trimmer to cut the panel in half, adhere the left and right sides onto you gatefold card base.
Step 5:
Use the long Violet/Lavender strip you created earlier, wrap around the card and adhere both ends, stick the bigger flower in the middle.
Step 6:
Admire your creation and you have a fabulous Birthday Gatefold card ready.
Happy crafting!
