How to Create Your Own Ornaments with Rinea Foiled Papers
Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing some fun ornaments in non-traditional colors!
These ornaments are very easy to create and the foiled paper is perfect for them!
The colors I have used are:
Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper
Turquoise/Gold Foiled Paper
Blush/Gold Foiled Paper
Other supplies
Wooden ornament blanks
Hot glue
liquid adhesive
Mini Art Stones
Titanium White texture Paste
Glitter Glass
Iridescent Glitter
Ribbon
Pearls
Silver stretch string for hangers
Small snowflake charms
Circle die
Snowflake embossing folder
To create these little lovelies start with blank wooden ornaments like these that I purchased at my local craft store.
Sand off any rough patches from the surfaces and edges.
Next use a circular die that is as close to the same size as the ornament as possible and cut 6 from foiled papers. Use a holiday themed embossing folder on the foiled paper first to add texture.
Next adhere the circles to the fronts and backs of the ornaments smoothing out the glue cautiously. Wipe away any excess glue.
For mine, to add interest, I alternated the colors as follows:
Silver front/Turquoise back
Blush front/Silver back
Turquoise front/Blush back
Next I mixed together art stones and glitter with some titanium white texture paste to create snow paste. There ae premade snow pastes on the market however I did not have any in my stash. This was applied with a palette knofe to the tops of the ornaments and dusted with glitter. I then let them dry completely overnight.
For the tiny snowflake charms I spritzed them in pink,turquoise, and silver and dred before adding them to the ornaments. I then added bows, pearls, and strips of the other colors from the leftover foiled paper pieces I had.
These were so much fun to create!
