Magical Mickey & Minnie Origami by Roni

Magical Mickey & Minnie Origami by Roni | Rinea
Hello, Friends! Ink Stained Roni here. Today I wanted to share something that I've dabbled at for years...origami.  I love finding new patterns and giving them a try. No, they don't always come out perfectly the first time but with a bit of practice most of the items I make end up looking like what they were intended.

To celebrate the release of the Magical Variety Pack who better to help us celebrate than Mickey and Minnie themselves...origami style that is. Rinea Foiled Paper is perfect for origami as it is thin enough to accommodate all of the intricate folds and it holds its shape which is such a bonus when trying a design for the first time.

I tried several patterns before I settled on one that I really liked. The video tutorial for this pattern is easy to follow and works perfectly - Mickey Origami.

I used the Ebony/Gold Glossy foiled paper for the head, body, and ears for Mickey but I decided that Minnie needed a bit of sass so I used the Ebony/Ebony Starstruck for her.

Silver/Gold Glossy foiled paper was used for their faces as well as hand cut for the eyes and clothing embellishments.

I used the Ruby/Ruby Starstruck for their clothing and Minnie's Bow which you can find a video tutorial here - Origami Bow.

I finished off each character with hand cut eyes, nose and mouths and a little pen work at the corner of their mouths.
