The Color of Spring & Bonus Mardi Gras Mask with Roni

The Color of Spring & Bonus Mardi Gras Mask with Roni | Rinea

Welcome Friends! I know it's a bit early, but I am ready to start talkin' Spring here. I'm over the cold; I'm over the Snow, and I'm ready for Spring and the flowers it brings with it.

So Suzy & Crackerbox Stamps
This month we here at Rinea have joined our creative forces with Crackerbox n Suzy stamps. I was so drawn to the Blowing Flower Tree that I knew I had to use it somehow. Then I found the Color of Spring sentiment and I knew I had the making's of a great card.  I paired these stamps with the Pastels and Peacock Variety Packs to create my shaker-licious Spring card.
I started off by stamping the Blowing Flower Tree using a stamp positioner on white cardstock using Versa Fine Clair Nocturne ink.  I then choose 3 different size circles to cut my shaker windows from the panel.

I place that panel over a second white cardstock panel and traced out where the windows should be located. I glued down pieces of foiled paper where each of the shaker windows would be then stamped the tree using StazOn Jet Black ink.
I added the window and tape to the back of the first panel.
I cut sequins using paper from the Peacock Variety Pack in a few different sizes.

I filled each little shaker window with the diecut sequins and matching micro beads. I removed the backing from the foam tape and covered it with the foiled panel.
And this is how the little shakers turned out... I love how the Peacock Foiled Paper sequins play off of the Pastels.
I stamped the sentiment and matted it with the Lavender foiled paper and affixed it to the card. I then mounted the shaker piece to a white card base which had been covered with more of the Lavender foiled paper.  I had a few extra diecut sequins so I added those to the front of the card as well.
And that is the color of Spring!
Thanks to Crackerbox n Suzy Stamps for providing us with amazing stamps to create with!!

I was having so much fun playing with the Pastel and Peacock Variety Packs that I couldn't stop there. Mardi Gras is quickly approaching so I thought it would be fun to make a mask using these lovely foiled papers!
