Upcycled Gift Jars With Rinea Foiled Papers by Clair

It seems a little bit late to say 'Happy New Year' but as this is my first project of 2018, I'm saying it anyway :) Today, I've made over an old jar, using some of my favorite Rinea Foiled Papers. Have you ever tried doing this? It's a really fun way to use your stash to make something unique for your home or as a gift!

First, I washed out my jar as thoroughly as I could, removing all of the labels. (If the labels are stubborn, try covering them with peanut butter, there's something about the oils that breaks down the glue!) I then covered the lid of the jar, with a doily cut from Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and added some central flowers, cut from foam and lace. Then I surrounded them with a selection of leaves and butterflies all cut from Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Ebony/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper.

Finally, I added a few little sparkles - and now I have a perfect little container for some chocolates or cookies to give as a gift.
