Mixed Media Wall Hanging by Melinda
Hello Rinea friends,
Melinda here with you today and I am sharing this fun wall hanging I recently created with some beautiful Lavender and Violet Foiled Papers and a Rita Barakat Stencil.
I started by inking a 12x12 piece of Textured Bazzill Cardstock. Once I finished the background, I adhered it to a piece of 12x12 chipboard so it would be nice and sturdy. I then created the saying and the butterflies.
Here's a closer look at one of the words. I cut it out of some Lavender Starstruck Foiled paper. I have the Cricut Maker and use the Aluminum Foil setting and it cuts like butter!
Here's another close up of some of the rest of the verbiage. Again, I cut it out of the Lavender Starstruck Foiled Paper.
Here's a closer look at one of the butterflies. I cut them out of Violet Starstruck Foiled Paper. I dabbed a touch of stickles to the centers for a little extra decorative touch.
Here's a closer look at the face I colored using the Rita Barakat stencil along with my Chameleon Colored Pencils and my Copic Markers.
Here is one final look at my completed canvas. I will be hanging this in my studio.
